Did you know, Child Growth and Optimal Starting from Healthy Digestion

Having healthy and smart children is certainly the hope of all parents. Did you know that Mother and Father were influenced by the healthy digestive system of children? In children, the healthy digestive tract can process nutrients perfectly and is essential for growth and development. The absorption of nutrients from the digestive tract is also very important for the development of intelligence or IQ.

Digestive disorders most often occur

Although most children are able to absorb nutrients perfectly, however, there are also those who experience gastrointestinal disorders. Two types of gastrointestinal disorders that are often experienced by children, namely malabsorption and constipation. Malabsorption occurs when the body is unable to absorb nutrients from the digestive tract to be carried into the bloodstream and spread to body cells. This can occur due to changes in the intestinal wall, so that nutrients cannot pass through it. This change in the intestinal wall can be caused by a viral, bacterial or parasitic infection. Malabsorbsi generally occurs for 1-2 days when the child has gastroenteritis. However, this situation usually improves immediately because of the ability to recover the intestinal wall quickly without any significant damage. What is worth watching out for is if a child experiences chronic malabsorption. Characterized by abdominal pain and constant vomiting, frequent bowel movements with feces that are runny and smelly, appear bruised, dry and scaly skin and broken bones. When this happens, it is very possible that the child will experience malnutrition due to disruption of the distribution of nutrients that inhibit growth and weight gain of the child. Gastrointestinal disorders are also often experienced by children, namely constipation or difficult bowel movements. Usually children experience constipation after starting to eat foods that are denser than before. This condition is characterized by the presence of hard stool.

How to Maintain Digestive Health

There are three principles for maintaining digestive health that can be applied, including for children, namely the consumption of enough fiber, fluids and physical activity. A nutritionist says, lack of one of the three factors can trigger digestive disorders. Fiber is very instrumental in the smooth process of digestion in the intestine. Starting at age 1-3 years, the recommended fiber intake is around 19 grams per day. Then increase at the age of 4-8 years which is about 25 grams of fiber per day. It is also important to remember that there is enough fluid to facilitate the digestion process. In children, prioritize drinking water. Make milk as a source of additional nutrition, then limit your intake of sweet foods or other drinks. Active physical activity will also greatly affect the healthy digestive system. This will stimulate the digestive process better. For children, also remind them to defecate regularly. Because, holding back stools can trigger stomach pain until constipation.

Parents Need to Know the Nutrition Content of Formula and Its Benefits

Currently available so many varieties and brands of milk with different ingredients. This can make parents overwhelmed, especially those who have just had children. Always provide a balanced intake of nutrients for healthy digestion, so that it supports the growth and development of children. If digestive disorders occur, consult your doctor immediately.

This is the function of the Eustachian tube in the ear and its disorders

Although foreign to our ears, one part of the ear, the eustachian tubes, turns out to have quite an important role. The function of the Eustachian tube is apparently useful for equalizing pressure inside and outside the ear, and drying or releasing fluid from the middle ear, that is, the ear behind the eardrum. Despite having an important role, but some people often experience loss of function of the eustachian tubes due to blockages. The function of the eustachian tubes is to connect the middle ear to the back of the throat. When you swallow or vaporize, this channel opens briefly to let air in, which makes the pressure in the middle ear and the pressure outside the ear the same. Impaired Eustachian Canal Functions Everybody has an eustachian channel. This channel is shaped like a tube that connects the space behind the eardrum in the middle ear with the back of the nose. In adults, the eustachian tubes are about 35 millimeters or 1.3 inches long and about 3 millimeters in diame...
